Fishing is a means of livelihood for several families in Goa. The village of Assolna is popular for having the freshest catch by the locals. In addition, the village boasts of some of the best restaurants for seafood. As we delve deeper and interact with the community, we learn about their interesting lifestyle.
On this trail, we take you around the village of Assolna with a focus on the fishing community and their lives. We explore the different techniques used by riding on a boat and get a hands on experience with the activity. The locals have numerous techniques and interesting stories to share of their adventures. We also show you the different varieties of fish at the local market with their local names. This experience will give you a feeling of fishing with the excitement of landing a good catch. Let us see who goes home a winner!
