"Hinterland tour was very different from usual tours. "
Started tour with worship at Damodar Temple. Neha tour guide, not only explained the history, but also connected it to the old and new architecture. Driving along Kushavati river bank, we met Sunil on our way. Sunil drove us in his jeep into the private forest and Kushavati spice farm. Sunil enthusiastically explained various spice plants. Monkeys on coconut trees, many times, distracted us. Home made tea with spice prepared by Sunil and some shopping of local spices.
Post spice farm visit, we visited rock carving in the bank of the river, which is unique and protected site. And the next destination was a natural cave used by traders in the ancient times. I will last stop was at Mr Patil‘s residence who greeted us with sweet Shira and Kanda Bhaji and special Lemongrass tea. The place in Tour was made more interesting by enthusiastic explanations given by Neha. Great work, Soul team..
A special shout-out to our ambassador, Karan! He made the entire experience seamless, safe, and engaging. From the pre-paddle safety briefing to guiding us effortlessly through the serene mangrove canals, Karan's energy, local stories, and attentiveness put everyone at ease—even the first-time paddlers in our group. Ending the session with peaceful river views and local snacks made it a perfect day. If you are looking for an authentic, tranquil side of Goa, this experience is an absolute must. Nature trail & Culinary experience on Chorao island : amazing experience led by Bob, with the ultimate visit to the first Chapel(estd 1556), followed by his beautiful voice echoing through the walls of the Chapel, a delicious breakfast at Tato Kulagar with a walk into his seven-generation farmland and then the ultimate experience of learning the small tricks of village cooking with Vanita Kaki and warm hospitality of Rajat and their bestest food experience that we had
